Stint with E-commerce as product manager

For commerce application, I first worked with McDonalds to define the product features for their mobile commerce application. This helped me understand the flow within the commerce application and how the funnel analysis is crucial to ensure we are able to help move the key metrics of orders from users. I worked on UI/UX flows for homepage, Product listing pages, product detail pages, cart and checkout, legal regulations, Siri integration and voice based ordering, adding new features such as delivery integration and conducting AB tests to find better value homepages. 

The next commerce apparel brand

As I was interested in retail, I got the chance to work with US’ biggest Apparel brand retailer for redefining their Content Management System(CMS) and Digital Asset Management(DAM). I was responsible for building components for making the components ready to build to ensure the marketing team can quickly add the content for promotion of key products at key events such as Holidays and promotional events of sale. Apart from CMS I also got a chance to evaluate the cart and checkout process, where I conducted competitive analysis, worked with design team to find issues and utlimately contribute to the opportunity of reducing the lost sales by $100 Million in year.

Self project

My first project for E-commerce was a self launched apparel website selling Indian ethnic wear for a college project. We onboarded the store of a friend’s father who was in this business and we started selling the clothes. During this time we worked on improving home page clicks on products, digital marketing, SEO improvement, product listing pages, payment setting and cart and checkout process.

Other work

Apart from above I have been taking trainings and developing sites to enable understanding of E-commerce. As I already have experience in defining operational flow for inventory management I do have the understaning of how its all connected. I also have participated in pitching opportunities for my clients such as Heathrow airport, and T.J. Maxx in terms of improving their products for better sales through mobile apps.
